Sometimes faeries are shy, and nearly impossible to view up
close as they seldom sit still for long, least of all long enough
to photograph for a painting…
Luckily, I was already studying this delicate mushroom lying beneath a tree deep in the forest when this fairy landed upon it to rest for a bit. At first, she did not see me but when she met my gaze, she immediately became shy and covered her nakedness. She was there for only a moment and then flitted off into the trees but not before I snapped a decent picture of her to paint.
